Lunch at Maddox

Yesterday my brother Jason, my sister Jenna, and Kayson and I drove to Brigham City to meet my Dad who was on his way home from Bountiful. He'd been down there for a few days visiting some friends and while there he also met up with Ed Yates from KSL to do a followup story. Ed has been doing interviews with my Dad periodically since the transplant. Their interview aired on KSL's evening news yesterday if you are interested in watching it here is the link http://www.ksl.com/?nid=148&sid=5986570 I have said this before but I'll say it again. What an incredible man my Dad is..... Now on to my post. So we met up with him and had lunch at Maddox. Here are a few of the pics we got to document the event.....

Kayson's newest thing is he LOVES to be walking or standing.... he can't do it by himself but he's close and he'd much rather do that than be held or in a stroller. This made his day and they walked like this all the way out to the car!!!!Kayson thinks he is pretty cool in those shades and I thought it was cute how all three of them had them on........ Thanks for a fun afternoon you guys! We missed you Bryan, Mom, Jordan and Jayme!

Spring is almost here!!!!!

Saturday was a BEAUTIFUL day- we couldn't pass up the opportunity to be outside, not to mention you just never know when the next warm day will be so we decided to take advantage of the sun and go for a walk! Kayson LOVES to be outside and I am excited for this summer so we can spend more time in the outdoors. Bring on the warm weather!

Women, women, women, and The Kayse Man!!!!!

Wow- there has been a lot going on the last week and half!!!! Kayson and I have been "ON THE GO" to put it lightly.... Bryan has been busy back at work this past week and Kayson and I headed up to Burley for our monthly trip to do hair! I am acquiring quite the clientele there which I am so grateful for. Anyway- this month we killed two birds with one stone... not only did I do hair for 3 days but we also went to Boise to watch my adorable little sister at her cheer competition! They took second in their division and got the "Showstopping Award"- translation: They were AWESOME and she did so good! I am so proud of her... Isn't she just the cutest thing?

These are my other two adorable sisters doing what they do best- posing for the camera- (Jenna and Jayme are famous for taking random self portraits on whatever camera they can get their hands on- silly girls) This is at Applebees after the comp.... Kayson thought he was really something sitting in the highchair with everyone's UNDIVIDED ATTENTION!

We had to get some "Green" before heading out so that we could support the Burley Bobcats and just our luck all the St. Patty's Day stuff was out so Green wasn't hard to find. (Burley is Green and White) We tried to give the shamrocks on Kayson's head some spirit by adding a paw print- I think they turned out pretty cute really and Kayon left them on so good.....

As the title to this post states Women, women, women and THE KAYSE MAN! He is literally surrounded by girls and he LOVES it!
NOW to the OTHER HALF of my post- My youngest sisters Jordan and Jayme are on spring break right now and I had the privilege of having them both come stay with me! Last week I had Jayme for a few days and Now we've got Jordan. It's so fun to have them stay with us and I think they enjoy getting to spend every minute of everyday with Kayson! These are a few pics that Jordan and I took today... we had a great time shopping and bein girls! I also wanted to thank Meme for coming to stay last week. WE LOVE YOU MEME and can't wait for you to come play again soon!!!!

What a lil stud!!!

Please excuse the runny nose! I really do try to keep it wiped but it seems to be a constant faucet of snot the last few days- one of the lovely side effects of teething I presume

These last few pics are at our last stop of the day-the oh so dreaded WAL MART! By the time we pulled into the parking lot Kayson was out! There was no way I could carry him the whole time we were there or my arms would have been like noodles (he's soooo heavy these days) so we improvised and layed him in the seat of the cart! I was a bit leery considering this was a WAL MART shopping cart and there were no disinfecting wipes to wipe it down with- therefore it was probably covered with grossness BUT I am proud to say that after using a wipe of my own- I pushed those thoughts aside and laid him in there telling myself that we'd wash the blanket promptly after returning home!! (For SOME REASON OR ANOTHER- those carts gross me out!) Anyway- all is well and Jordan and I got the grocery shopping done while Kayson had a GOOOD and much needed nap! Everyone is happy! :)

Whew- that about covers it for now...... on a side note I FINALLY got the infamous TEETH on camera! YAY- it took me forever it seemed but I got them nonetheless, by the time I snapped the last picture he had had enough and lucky for me it was a good one!....

Caught Red Handed!

We have borrowed my parents old walker- which I have been very very grateful for... till now... don't get me wrong I am still grateful that we have it especially since Kayson is much happier when he can motor all over our apartment! BUT Things like this happen........ The other morning I was vacuuming and realized that Kayson wasn't with me trying to get the vacuum as usual.. So I went to see #1 where he was and #2 what he was doing. This is what I discovered....... and I thought it was so cute that he was looking at me like, "What?".. he managed to get into his dresser and pull out all of his shoes.... all of his bibs, wipes, and the list goes on, and he had it strung all over the place. Little stink!

This was also not the FIRST time he's made a mess and gotten into stuff! In the last several weeks I have pulled him out of the bathroom (he's figured out how to open the cupboard door and get under the sink in there), my kitchen drawers, my bedroom closet (he loves Bryan's shoes?!) The list goes on...... my gosh he's not even officially walking yet and he's wearing me out. I discovered early on how to barricade the kitchen garbage so he can't pull it over!!!! OH MAN- I can't wait to see what the next few months will bring.... We are ALMOST crawling and I am afraid when he does that will only "awaken the sleeping Giant" and unleash him on my home!
P.S. We haven't even had tooth #1 for a whole week and tooth #2 is visible!!! I hope we get a break before #3 comes in...

My Handsome Boyz!

I just wanted to post this picture that Bryan's Mom took on Saturday! Aren't they so handsome! I LOVE THEM- not to mention they look like two peas in a pod with their matching glasses!!! Silly boyz......... Thanks for the break on Saturday Bry- it was greatly needed!
P.S. Kayson's first tooth popped up about a week ago, but do you think I can get a picture of it- NOT ON YOUR LIFE, so hopefully one is coming soon......

Simba + Comfy Bed = HAPPY BABY!

Bryan snapped these photos on two different occasions both of which we were trying to get ready to go somewhere... The first one and the video are Kayson in the morning while Bryan and I got ready one day and the second one is before church, after I'd gotten him all ready to go. Simba(aka: The Lion King) is a great pass time while we get dressed and get stuff gathered to head out the door...........

As you can tell- he does not care about anything else going on around him- Just Kayson and Simba- He's totally in "the zone"!!!!

Friday I made my annual winter hike up the back side of Pine Hill, and then snowboarded down the face. I got of the "ski lift" just below this cool rock formation.I made it to the top and took afew pictures to prove I was there. From the picture below I am not the first person to the top.

The powder was great on the way down.........................
