Winter Fun

I feel the need once again to break up the Kayson posts, while they are entertaining a change of scenery is always good.My Dad and I went on a snowmobile ride last week. The weather and the snow was pretty good. We left from the farm in Station Creek and rode to Franklin Basin via Worm Creek Basin, then made the loop around Bloomington and back home. It always makes me smile when I see the convoys of would be snowmobiler's trucking up the canyon when I can set out right from the farm, go anywhere they can, and be home by lunch time without ever loading a sled on a trailer.

Last week I also decided to see just how old and fat I really am. I snowshoed from the Richmond gun range to the top of City Creek, and then snowboarded back down. This Picture was taken at lunch time at about the half way point.
This picture was taken at a cookie break. I am almost to the top, Cherry peak is in the background. Unfortunately my camera battery died and this was the last picture of the day so you will have to take my word for it that I made it to the top because I don't think I will be doing it again anytime soon.........5 hours to the top, and 40 Minutes of great powder to the bottom.

What's not to like???

Seriously- as the shirt states....."What's not to like?" I took these pics yesterday while our Monkey was bein a goofball!! He is getting funner by the minute.... His latest "thing" is scrunching up his little nose when he laughs or is being silly and he also does it when he is about to do his "fake cry"! (I say FAKE cry because that is exactly what it is- it's rather pathetic lol )I was hoping to get a good picture of the new face but my camera just isn't fast enough- one of these days we will capture it.... Kayson is also 7 MONTHS OLD TODAY! My goodness how the months are flying!!!!___________________________________________________

True BLUE Aggie Fans~

Saturday my Mom and little sisters came down for a few hours to visit and hang out! Although we missed my Dad greatly, we had a good time and Kayson was most definitely the center of attention.... They headed home when, we Aggie Fans (Jason, Jenna, Bryan and I), headed to the game Saturday night. My battery was dead or I would have taken more pictures, but we did get this one just after the Aggie Game. With the help of my adorable little sisters who are quite skilled in the letter painting department (cheerleaders are good at that)- we made our very own CUSTOM Aggie Binky! HAHA- turned out pretty cute I think and I can take it on and off whenever I want! I have been looking for an Aggie Binky so I was pretty excited. We think it was their good luck charm, it was a close game and frustrating at times, but they won and that's all that matters!!! Thanks girls and it was so fun to spend the day with you all. We missed you Dad, but we'll see you soon!!!! Thanks to Mom and Dad Westerberg for the tickets as well- we are so grateful you share them with us-we sure love ya!!!! :)

This is the jumper that Grandma and Grandpa W. gave Kayson for Christmas- he absolutely LOVES it and it's hilarious to watch especially when he really gets going!! (Please excuse the filthy onesie.....)

He has absolutely got the cutest laugh ever!!! Bry was swinging the camera case and for some reason he was getting a kick out of it!!!

Weekend with Anna and play date with Audrey~

This past weekend....... Our niece Anna came and stayed with us (Saturday night and Sunday). Thanks to Landon, Darci and their girls we had a great night!!! We met them for Aggie Ice Cream and then back to their house to watch the Aggies play in Hawaii- Wish we could have been IN HAWAII to watch them win but such is life- nevertheless THEY WON! Kayson was so good to just sit and watch the girls- they all played so cute.... This is Anna all snuggled up in her sleeping bag!!! She slept all night and we had to wake her up Sunday morning to start getting ready for church!

This is Kayson Sunday morning- he woke up a happy boy too!!I bought PINK heart plates for Anna cause she LOVES PINK....... she also requested smiley faces on her pancakes- so I attempted to do so with chocolate chips.... not to shabby and quite YUMMY I might add. P.S. The one on the left is supposed to be a flower!!!!! LOL

Luckily we have church at 11 but I am not used to getting 2 kids ready plus myself so I threw the kiddos in the bath together and knocked out two birds with one stone! Kayson thought that was A BLAST- and Anna wanted to sit RIGHT next to him.......After church we headed up to Grandma Smith's.... we had some DELICIOUS soup and made some super yummy cookies- Anna wanted to make them for Uncle Bry, Audrey, and Grandma Smith! She is an AWESOME cookie maker! Lickin the beaters- that's her favorite part!!!
Thanks to Grandma Smith for playin with Kayson while we baked and also for the lovely dinner! We love you so much and are so grateful to have you in our lives!!!!!!!We had a great time with Anna and we are so glad that she was able to come stay with us!!! We love you tons Anna Banana and we hope you had fun!!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Yesterday we got to have Audrey come stay while Sara and Bryon went to therapy and we had a great time! We watched "The Wild" the movie Audrey brought, and "The Lion King" (for Kayson). Audrey also helped me wash a few of Kayson clothes- her favorite part was putting the money in the coin dispenser on the washer...... we also colored lots of pictures most of wich consisted of Ariel and Sleeping Beauty!! I wasn't thinkin or I would have taken more pics but I did manage to get this one...... Audrey was very excited to see her Mommy! Thanks for comin to play Audj -can't wait to see you again tomorrow!

Half Birthday!!!

Oh my goodness Kayson is 6 months and 2 weeks old!!!! It's crazy how fast these last 6 months have gone. He is changing and growing all the time and everyday we discover new tricks! We LOVE being parents.... It's so amazing and the rewards are endless! SO- I decided to do yet another post about my monkey! He is learning new things all the time and to celebrate 6 months here are the latest discoveries- He's been eating baby food and cereal for a few months now and about a month ago we tried a sippy cup and it was a huge hit- He loves it and new just what to do. Actually he'd prefer whichever cup Bryan and I have but the sippy cup has definitely become a very cool thing!!! I also had to snap this picture because it was too funny...... this is the high chair we use at my parents house and he just sits back crosses his legs and waits for the next bite -not very patiently I may add- he bangs his hand on the tray to let us know he's ready for more!!Kayson has totally found his voice- he is a non stop jabber box. This is a picture that my Dad took- at the time he was telling my Dad quite the story. When he's talking (or should I say yelling) you had better be listening or he sure lets you know what's up!!! The Sounds of choice are DADADADAD and BLAH BLAH BLAH........ We are starting to wave BU-BYE! He practices all day and then when I want him to do in front of someone he just laughs! Nevertheless he is getting it down and it's so fun to see when they start understanding things and can put two and two together. He has also mastered the walker and enjoys running all over our apartment- and when I say running I mean literally running- he follows me around all day totally content to move about as he pleases! To crawl or not to crawl that is the question............. Kayser has the strength to be on his hands and knees but he doesn't know what to do from there. It makes us giggle to watch him- he wants to move sooo bad but just can't quite figure out how and he just goes face first to the floor- I know I know how mean to watch your child face plant it and then laugh- but come on- it's so funny! ( no worries he is a tough little man and this does not make him cry lol)

My Monkey LOVES to watch the Lion King and has since he was about 3 months old- We have also discovered that The Simpsons and Sponge Bob are 2 of his other favorites...... I was in Burley this past weekend doing hair and while My Mom was at work Friday, Bumpa (my Dad) was the designated babysitter- When I finished my haircuts and went to check on them this is what I found...... lol I could not pass up this picture opportunity! Bumpa, Maggie, and Kayson just Hangin out watchin Simba!

YAY sitting all by ourselves- This is Kayce Man's favorite way to play!! What a happy boy! That about covers it for now- HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY Kayson.... can't wait to see what adventures and giggles the next 6 months will bring!!!!

Slobber, and Spit, and Drool OH MY!

EVERYTHING goes in Kayson's mouth- just thought I'd post these- I swear we should be getting a tooth soon- everything goes in and comes out just dripping with saliva!! I am not a fan of bibs but they are a necessity with this kid!

Pomerelle~

Above is Bry and I trying to warm up for a sec in the ever so crowded lodge! And Below is my stinkin cute little sister Jordan- isn't she adorable?????Weekend before last we left Kayson with Nanna, Bumpa, And Aunt Meme and Bryan, Jordan and I went to Pomerelle Ski Resort for a day on the Mountain. I didn't get to go at all last year cause I was pregnant so I couldn't wait. We were hoping that the clouds would blow over and it would be a nice day but they didn't. It was super cold but we still had a GREAT TIME! I didn't get to go at all last year cause I was pregnant so I couldn't wait.

I also thought it would be hard being away from Kayson ALL DAY LONG, but I knew he was in good hands and I actually enjoyed myslef. When we got home we learned that Kayson didn't want Nanna or Bumpa JUST AUNT MEME!!!!!! Thanks for a fun day you guys! Can't wait to do it again!!!!!!!
