Mother's Day~

So... yesterday morning I woke up to find this card on my bar!! My husbad was sweet enough to acknowledge that this was my FIRST of many Mother's Days!!!! This card is a prime example of the humor my husband has... he cracks me up..... (click on the pictures if you want to read better what it says)

It's so crazy to think I am going to be a Mom!!!!!! AHHHHHHH- I hope I am cut out for the job. Being a Mom is such a special and important role~ I wanted to say thanks to the Mother's in MY life who are special and dear to my heart, first and foremost MY Mom- What in the world would I do without her- She is such an incredible woman and has taught me so much. Mom- thanks for who you are and all that you do. In many ways we are alot alike and I think you are so special! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH and I am so glad that YOU are my Mom!!!! Second is my Mother-in-Law, Wendy- You are such a sweetheart and it's an honor to call you Mom! Thanks for raising such an amazing son, I am so grateful to have you in my life, thanks for being such a good example and for being the wonderful woman that you are- I love ya!!!!!

This is Wendy with the darling new purse that Bryan picked out to give her for Mother's day!!!! Ok not really, Bry just thought he was being funny.... but we did suggest that she could take it to church and use it for her new scripture bag............ :)

Third, is Arda- Bryan's Grandma- She is the sweetest woman in the world and we LOVE her dearly!!!!! Bryan looks up to her so much and she will always have a special place in both of our hearts! I can't say thank you enough for all that you do.

I would also like to wish a belated Happy Mother's Day to all of the other Mother's in my life, I love you all and hope that you had a WONDERFUL day! I can't wait for July so that I can hug and kiss my little guy and begin the journey of motherhood myself!!!

And Many More..........

Thursday (May 8th) was my Birthday!!!! I turned a whopping 23.... It was great... Bry sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers with lillies and gerber daisies (my favorites) all in PINK!!! We went to a nice dinner at the Coppermill Restaurant and Bryan took me to the mall to buy a few things. Thanks Honey, for making it a GREAT day- Love ya!!! I also wanted to say thanks to Kensy for bringing balloons to work- everyone made sure that they were visable ALL day long... and thanks to everyone who brought gifts, called or sent cards you are all sooo sweet and helped make it a special day!!! No matter how old you are Birthdays should always be exciting!!!

HAPPY 90th Grandpa!!!

I just wanted to wish my adorable Grandpa a very HAPPY 90th BIRTHDAY yesterday!!!!! He is such a sweet man and I love him so very much!!! Isn't he cute?

Baby Shower #1!!

I Just wanted to take a second and thank Aunt Shauna and Trisha for the wonderful shower they threw for me this past weekend. We had a family reunion and they decided this was as good a time as any to have the family shower since we were all going to be together anyway... It was so great to see everyone and I got so many great things- needless to say it was a huge success!!!! My sisters did a wonderful job decorating and I learned that Jayme and our little cousin Kiernan are incredible "balloon blower-upers"! Great Job guys! THANKS again to everyone..... We are so excited!I also wanted to thank my Mom for letting us have the shower at her house, and for writing everything down for me so I could remember who gave me what... What would I do without ya Mom? Your awsome!!! This is my Cousin Meredith saying HI to the baby! AAAAAHHHH I love it!!! :)

This is too funny I had to take a picture- this is the cake that Shauna brought..... It was darling from what I could tell- all I could make out was the big yellow stork on the right side.... Kiernan accidentally stepped on it on their long journey from Salt Lake to Burley!! She felt so bad, but even though there was a large gaping hole in the middle everyone ate and enjoyed it anyway!!!! YUM it was even chocolate!!!! This will be something that will be laughed about for years to come... it has character don't you think?

Hair, hair, EVERYWHERE!!

Last weekend was Prom in Burley and I had a day full of HAIR!!! It's always fun to go to home and do up do's for Jenna and all her friends and make them gorgeous for the big dance. Here are a few of the up do's I did. I hope they enjoy it as much as I do.... It works out great- my parents have a big bathroom in the basement (naturally with 4 girls you about have to) it's got 2 large counter tops on each side and great big mirrors as well so we take a chair down and turn on every hot thing that will curl, straighten, smooth, and crimp that we can find and Jenna and Jordan always make sure that there is good music on, then the fun begins. My mom always provides lots of treats and the girls just giggle and we hear about their dates and where they are going for dinner. It's great fun. Jenna is such a great sport and let's me play into my creative side a bit when it comes to up do's- she and I think alot alike so she always knows it will turn out ok- This year was her last Prom and we decided to do her hair down- something she hasn't done yet. Her dress was very colorful and we thought that the big gerber daisies in her hair would top if off great and it did- she looked gorgeous!! Thanks Jen- I looked forward to many more "Dance Hair" sessions to come with Jordan being in High School this year (still a few years from dating- but close nonetheless), and down the road a ways Jayme as well.... what fun sisters are!!!! Love you guys!!!!!

My Handsome Explorer~

So While I was doing hair all day and hagin with the girls- bryan decided to go on a hike at The City Of Rocks, not far from Burley, before helping my Dad with some things. There was still some snow but for the most part it was a pleasant day.... Leave it up to Bry to find adventure and the Great Outdoors wherever he goes!!!!!

Mother Nature MAKE UP YOUR MIND....

Before I get into this post I'd like to take a quick second and note that General Conference was great this past weekend! I felt very uplifted and got a renewed drive to better myself as a person, daughter, wife and soon to be mom!!! I hope everyone enjoyed it as much as I did!!!!!
NOW- I don't know about the rest of you, but my mood alot of times I think totally depends on the weather..... I am a fan of sunny skies and warm temperatures. Unfortunately for me, this is what I woke up to this morning- CLOUDY, gloomy skies... then as the morning progressed it turned into RAIN....... ~Keep in mind, as I continue, that I have front row seats to the show Mother Nature decided to put on today due to the fact that my desk is right SMACK in front of 4 very LARGE windows~ From there we had a huge HAIL storm, which lasted a total of... oh I'd say a good 15 minutes!! Then we experienced a few hours of the oh so dreaded company of a SNOW STORM-Then we had some more RAIN and ALOT of THUNDER AND LIGHTNING. Had enough? OH NO.... Then the sun decided to come out for a glorious, beautiful but very BRIEF second and looked something similar to this.... Just as fast as it came the sun was gone and we are back to the doom and gloom of THIS...

I would dare say that we've seen it all today.... You can see why my mood cannot decide what it would like to be. Now- to make myself clear, I do enjoy the rain but on a warm summer day, not with every other weather scene you could possibly imagine... I am pleading with Mother Nature- WILL YOU PLEASE MAKE UP YOUR MIND... With that said I hope everyone had a WONDERFUL Monday- let's cross our fingers for brighter skies as the week progresses!!!!!!!! The word on the street is that this weekend is supposed to be splendid.
