Elder Polar Bear!!!!!!!!
Hey Everybody! I just wanted to give a quick update on Jason. His letter this week was very positive and upbeat, he is enjoying himself. The work is hard and the conditions are hard sometimes too, but nontheless, he is very upbeat and has alot to say! He is very excited to tell us that he and his comp are doing well with the investigators and what not. I'd like to share a quick story with you.
He says that in Honduras they have a hard time pronouncing POLLARD. So alot of them say it PO-LARD and then giggle. Well , he taught me that in Spanish OSO POLARD means "Polar Bear" in spanish. SO when translated everyone down there is actually saying Elder POLAR BEAR in spanish and they think that that combined with his height and "great build" is quite funny! I agreed that that was quite funny!!!
Anyway- Just thought I'd share that with everyone. Love you all!
JESS

Jason in the mission field!

Doesn't he look so good! The country looks beautiful. Jason says that it is sooooooooooo hot down there. I'd never make it, I think that 98 is hot, but apparently that's nothin!

Update on our happenings!!!!!
Well, Hello everyone, we are almost through June already it's hard to believe!!!!! This month is just going by so fast! Since it is Sunday and a very special one at that I hope that everyone had a GREAT Father's Day!!!!
We had a wonderful time in Zion there was so much to see and because it was something that I had never done I quite enjoyed myself. It was good to get away and do something fun for a few days.... unfortunately we had to get back to go to Grandma Morley's funeral. She passed away on Saturday June 2, at approx 3:30 AM. It was a good thing, beautful funeral, but still very hard! Everyone seems to be holding up really well. We had alot of support and gratefully the ward memebers were WONDERFUL to help out.
Other than that life is still just busy busy busy, but good. We are just workin our little guts out. This past week on Wednesday we sent Matt- Bryan's brother- to the MTC he will be serving in Adelaide, Australia. We are very excited for him, but just as when Jason left, it was bittersweet and some tears were shed! It will be kinda weird to have TWO missionaries out now.
Mom and Dad will be starting their Firework Booth in about another week, which will be fun but very busy for a few days! Other than that we don't have any MAJOR events coming up anytime soon so we are going to be a little boring for awhile, but we will keep you posted on our happenings!!! Love you and hope that all is well with everyone!

Zion National Park- Hike day 1
This is me on our hike the first day!
Bryan was teaching me how to repell and I have to say it was alot of fun I'd like to try it again sometime soon!

The Water we had to wade through in some of the slot canyons was FREEZING! BUT it felt so good considering it was about 105 degrees the whole time we were there.

The pile of rocks behind us I learned is called a Hoodoo! These are everywhere down there and they are all different sizes this one happened to be quite large! Bry and I climbed to the top!
This is Matt and I in the canyon!Created for your reading pleasure by Royal Princess Academy at 9:33 AM 0 comments
